The foundation of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland is key to our financial security and stability. Breaking New Ground is directing 10 percent to the Planned Parenthood of the Heartland Foundation. These funds will increase our endowment, eliminate facility debt and secure the future of our organization and the people we serve in Nebraska and Iowa.

For many within our communities, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland is the only source of medical care. Key to our mission is being able to serve our clients regardless of their circumstances. More than 60 percent of our clients qualify for reduced fees because of their income and/or lack of insurance.

A strong endowment will help create a safety net for medical services in the face of uncertain government funding. The future of reproductive choice and access to family planning depends upon our continued vigilance and advocacy. Our foundation ensures that Planned Parenthood of the Heartland can maintain ongoing reproductive health care services, education and advocacy – and increase those services in the future.

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland knows that the health of a woman directly correlates to the well-being and health of not only her entire family, but also of her community.We believe quality health care is a basic human right – one that is dispensed freely and without judgment to every person regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, class or age.

97 percent of the services we provide are preventive services, helping our community stay healthy.

Each year, our clients make more than 160,000 visits to our health centers for medical services. They know they can count on Planned Parenthood to be accessible, affordable and confidential. Our dedicated staff of professionals provide all services – including bilingual staff and translation services – with dignity and understanding.
